Woolzies Dryer Balls Review

Woolzies Dryer Balls are made by Soft By Nature, Inc. - a small family owned company in Southern New York State. Soft by Nature Inc. intends to pass down this earth to our children in the same beautiful condition that they received it from their parents.  They develop all natural eco friendly products and share them with us.

Soft by Nature Inc. generously sent me a 6 pack of Woolzies dryer balls for review.

I've never been a big fan of dryer sheets or fabric softner.  They're sometimes expensive and just an annoying extra step you have to remember to do while doing laundry.  And when I did use dryer sheets I always seemed to find them all over the house.  I guess they would get mixed in with the clean clothes and drop when being carried to put away the laundry.  It was so annoying!  Not to mention both of those things contain chemicals that I didn't want so close to my skin and definitely NOT my baby's skin.  So, I was super excited to try some Woolzies with my next load of laundry.

WOOLZIES®, The All Natural Dryer Balls are an all natural fabric softener.  They are a set of six handmade pure wool dryer balls that are special in several ways. They deliver the same benefits for laundry as conventional fabric softeners WITHOUT all the harsh, nasty chemicals. They save you a lot of money by eliminating the need to continuously spend on fabric softener liquid and sheets. They cut down on the time it takes to dry a typical load by at least 25% thereby saving you even more money and cutting down on fossil fuel usage.  Unlike the plastic dryer balls, they are PVC free and won't fall apart or melt on you.  Woolzies are also hypo-allergenic and they will not shed onto your laundry.  And best of all, Woolzies last for up to 1,000 loads of laundry!

The Woolzies are a little bigger than a tennis ball.  I was afraid they might be a little noisy in the dryer, but I didn't notice any extra noise when I used them.  I used all six of these with a large load of baby clothes, sheets, towels, etc. and I was extremely satisfied.

I definitely think using Woolzies cut down on drying time by about 10 minutes even with such a large load.  Plus, the clothes were soft and static free when they came out of the dryer.  One thing that I really love about these is that I can just leave them in the dryer and throw the clothes in for each load.  Now my family always has soft, static free clothes with no strong perfumey smells or chemicals to bother our noses and skin.

Dryer balls are really great for anyone who wants to not only eliminate harsh chemicals, but also for those trying to live a little greener and save money too. One package of dryer balls can save you money in so many different ways:  you won't have to buy dryer sheets or fabric softener, your electricity bill will be lower, and you will be helping to keep your clothes looking newer for longer- which I think is one of the best benefits!
