Easy Ham & Cheese Quiche

This recipe is so easy and so good!  Quiche is a great breakfast food, but I also like to make this for dinner too.  This also tastes great the next day, so leftovers from dinner can be breakfast the next day or vice versa!

1 pre-made pie shell (I use Pillsbury and they are really good)
1 cup diced ham (I purchase this in the meat section in a bag)
1/2 yellow onion, diced
6 eggs
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Saute the diced onion and ham in a pan sprayed with cooking spray. 
(I was making 2 quiches, so that's why it looks like I have a ton of ham!)

In the meantime, beat the eggs and cream together.  (Sidenote:  I've made this with cream and just 2% milk.  It turns out fine with the milk and is obviously healthier, but it is sooo much tastier with the cream!  Next time I want to try half cream half 1% milk and see how it turns out...)  Season with pepper.  I don't put any salt because it really just doesn't need any. 

Put pie shell in pan.  Then put the cheese in the shell.

Spread out ham and onions over the cheese.

Pour the egg mixture on top.

Bake for 35-45 minutes at 375 degrees.

The top of the quiche will be lightly browned and the center should not move when it's done.

Oh so yummy and oh so easy!
