NurturMe Baby Food Review & Giveaway

NurturMe is a company that came about after two moms realized that little had changed in the world of baby food since they were babies themselves.  Babies were still receiving their nutrition from purees in glass jars like they always had.  They decided to break the mold and create NurturMe- a truly unique brand of freeze/drum dried baby foods.

NurturMe freeze and drums dries their fruits and veggies which is nutritionally superior to canning because it preserves the nutrients and phytochemicals and provides a higher sensory quality of food.  During this process there is less heat exposure to the foods which is better for preserving so freeze/drum dried foods look and taste fresher!
NurturMe is certified organic, gluten free, non-GMO verified, kosher, and has no added preservatives, sugars, or salts!  Another thing that is great about this is that it's made in the USA.  These are so easy to use since all you have to do is add water, formula, or milk to the freeze dried fruits and veggies.  The consistency all depends on how much liquid you add, so you can experiment to find the perfect consistency for your little one.  You can even sneak it into your toddler's meal to help them get in their fruits and veggies.  You can visit the NurturMe kitchen for some innovative ideas on meals.

I was sent a nice assortment of flavors from Nurturme for Baby Boy to sample.  My first thought when I got these was how super convienent they would be for traveling.  They hardly take up any space and are super light too!  These are also a great thing to keep in the diaper bag, or even the car, for an emergency since you almost always have water or milk available to mix in if you really need it.

Baby Boy first tried the sweet potatoes, oatmeal, and bananas combo.  I slowly added water 2 Tablespoons at a time until I found the consistency I thought would be best for Baby Boy.
Here you can see what the baby food looks like at different consistencies.

Baby Boy really liked his NurturMe flavor combo.  He had no problem finishing the whole bowl.  He even cried when he was done.
(My baby loves his food and hates when eating is all done!)

Yum-a-roos are bites of freeze/drum dried food.  This is a super healthy snack for your kiddo since it's dried organic fruits and veggies and comes in convienent pouches that you can take anywhere.  These are for ages 1 and up.  Since Baby Boy couldn't try his Yum-a-roos yet we gave them to his cousin who is 18 months.  He really liked them!
