Thera Pearl Children's Pal Review & Giveaway

When your children are hurt, you want to make it all better, NOW.   TheraPearl Pals soothe pain, reduce fevers and can even help to reduce bruising and swelling.  For a fast, drug-free way to fix a boo-boo these are perfect.  They are colorful and kid-sized so they can calm and comfort as they heal. Kids love to play with the packs so much, they won’t fuss or fidget quite as much as they might normally.  These are really just like a fancy, cuter bag of peas!  The Children's Pals come in 4 different animals: frog, pig, dog, or panda.

I had never heard of TheraPearl before, but these little Pals are so cool!  Unlike other gel freezer packs I've used before, the little pearls in these packs never get hard or stiff even after it's been in the freezer for days.  Plus, they are a really nice tempurature- not so cold that it hurts to keep it on your skin, but cold enough to do what it needs to do.   They stay smooth and soft on your skin and can conform to any part that needs some healing.  Luckily, Baby Boy hasn't needed to use this yet since we've had it, but I so wish I had had this after his first tumble.  Right after he started standing and pulling up he misjudged his step and bumped his head on the edge of a basket.  Of course, I put ice on it right away, but since I only had my other gel freezer packs I didn't even know if it was cooling on the right spot.  If I would have had this TheraPearl Pal it would have conformed perfectly and I know it wouldn't have been too cold for his head.

You can chill a Pal in the fridge or freezer, or pop it in the microwave and use it to apply the cold or heat for up to 20 minutes.  I know this is meant to stay hot or cold for up to 20 minutes, but I felt like it really only stayed cold enough to be effective for about 10-15 minutes.  For kids, I think that's probably plenty of time.  (I would consider myself lucky if I could even hold any kind of ice pack on my child for longer than 10 minutes!) TheraPearl Pals has won a “Parent Tested-Parent Approved” Award for quality and appeal.  An independent lab has verified there are no heavy metals, VOCs or BPAs. They’re safe, hypoallergenic, reusable, and won’t drip or leak. You’ll feel good about using them, and so will your kids.
